Safety & Site Induction

All Rail Academy Newport (RAN) staff, training providers, participants, contractors and visitors must complete a basic site induction before accessing any operational or training area.

The site induction provides essential safety information, including:

  • site layout and restricted areas
  • emergency procedures
  • PPE requirements
  • forklift and plant movement zones
  • traffic and pedestrian safety
  • loading and unloading protocols

All RAN staff and trainers are required to complete the induction prior to commencing work onsite.

Training providers are responsible for ensuring their course participants complete the RAN site induction each day they are in attendance.

The induction is delivered via QR code using the Who’s On Location system, with QR Safety Induction signage located throughout the site. Induction completion records are maintained within the system. Printed versions can be provided if required.
