Showcasing the abundance of rail careers at the Australian Careers Services seminar
Our Rail Academy team was invited to present information about the wealth of careers in the rail industry at the Australian Careers Service seminar in Melbourne.
The Australian Careers Service (ACS) supports career education professionals by encouraging best practice and innovation in the delivery of career programs. It promotes career education as a professional and recognised field and provides a platform for networking and discussion.
The 2019 Melbourne ACS seminar provided the latest information on education and training opportunities, emerging industries and workplace innovation. Career professionals had the opportunity to connect with the everchanging world of training and employment.
As part of the Rail Careers session, Caitlin Ryan, Gordana Stankovski and Amy Barrow of Rail Academy partnered with Australasian Railway Association to present valuable insights about rail careers, the proposed concept of VET delivered in secondary schools and the Certificate II in Rail and Light Rail Fundamentals pathway.
Career advisers were provided with information and collateral on a broad range of opportunities to encourage and inspire their students to choose a career in the rail industry.
